Well, we arrived in Seattle on time and were warmly greeting by our friends, Mike and Marilyn. "Mach schnell!" was the first phrase Marilyn learned in a foreign language and it is still our slogan.
Our bicycle boxes did not arrive with us but came two days later. They were more or less destroyed (by violence and humidity), but the bicycles had no damage.
Our friends Mike and Marilyn are proud owners of two Bike Fridays. Of course, I had to take one of them for a test ride, which went well.
On Wednesday finally the weather changed to sunshine, and Maren and I enjoyed the view across the Columbia River to the mountains from the terrace of the house.
Tomorrow the four of us are going to hit the road with our bicycles and assistance by the car and a travel trailer.
