Layover day in Charlottesville. (0 miles!)
Little 4 month old Sophie from
Arlington VA wanted to get on the Internet so she brought her mom, Mary, down to
visit us today. (Mary and Marilyn are "Bicky Babes" from the same
women's Outward Bound class in 1995).
Then Mary kindly drove us all around
and to a bike shop where we bought 4 cans of Halt, doggie pepper spray, and a
Terry Men's Liberator saddle (Mike broke a saddle rail trying to pick his 2-ton
bike up by the saddle). Sophie entertained us by being cute.
Then we did the Monticello, home of
Jefferson, thing and took a break from writing in the journal.
